This large family garden design was commissioned following the client's acquisition of a new garden room. The original garden had long served as a cherished space for the client's children, featuring a prominent large lawn as its central element. However, as the children have now grown up and left home, and the garden needed to be reimagined to accommodate entertainment, outdoor dining, and a more abundant display of plants.

The client expressed a desire to retain a substantial lawn, with an eye towards future visits from their young grandchildren. To achieve this, the new garden incorporates well-planned pathways that provide access to the rear terrace regardless of ground conditions. Additionally, large herbaceous beds have been introduced to offer year-round visual interest.

The new structure occupies a commanding position at the end of the garden, both in terms of its size and elevated nature. However, the imposing presence of the building is softened by strategically arranged plantings extending from the house towards the rear. Notably, a striking specimen multi-stemmed tree discreetly conceals an attractive door leading to the storeroom, further enhancing the overall aesthetics of the garden.
